Our holiday home, Bolus, offers an exceptional travel experience situated on the edge of Bolus Head. This property, located in Ballinskelligs, is not only designed as a form of self-catering accommodation but is constructed to bring the breath-taking view of South Kerry into this unique home. The interiors and surroundings of Bolus offer an escape like no other, providing guests with the opportunity to tap into their creativity whilst enjoying the tranquil landscapes of the area.

Inside Bolus Ballinskelligs

When entering this beautiful property, you are met with the cave like living room with distinctive stone walls. The key focus of this room is the featured stove fireplace with its unique stone and slate surround. This comfortable room also features a sofa, which sits perfectly within the naturally lit space. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The space is also features a large dining table and traditional dresser equipped with kitchenware and utensils for your stay.

The property features three sizeable bedrooms, two of which provide two single beds and the third a generous double bed. The bedrooms are flooded with natural light throughout the day, with the sunrise from the east across the Iveragh Peninsula, and the sunset from the west across the wild Atlantic Ocean. The secluded location of the property ensures a tranquil and peaceful sleep for all of our guests.

Property Features

For your added convenience, Bolus includes a well-equipped utility room with a washing machine and dryer, two bathrooms, one equipped with an electric shower and a fully functioning cooker with dual ovens in the kitchen.

This entire property is surrounded by the rolling landscapes of South Kerry. With spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean to the rocky hills of Bolus head, the garden and outdoor seating area of this holiday home provides breath-taking views.

About Ballinskelligs

Ballinskelligs, or 'place of the rocks', lies on the western edge of the stunning Ballinskelligs Bay, just off the spectacular Ring of Kerry. This spot is rich with ancient sites like the iconic McCarthy Tower and the world-renowned Skellig Michael, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famously featured in the Star Wars films. It's the perfect location to explore famous cinematic landscapes and the deep rooted history of South Kerry.

For guests staying at Bolus, a visit to the Cill Rialaig Arts Centre is a must. Established in 1995, the Cill Rialaig Arts Centre is a cornerstone of local culture in Ballinskelligs. Visitors can explore the centres collection of paintings, sculptures, fine crafts, and uniquely crafted gifts. Many artists who have resided at the Cill Rialaig Artists Retreat contribute works for sale at the Centre, supporting the ongoing Cill Rialaig Project.
