Saying?
We had the best stay at the Skellig house! Plenty of space for everyone, large bedrooms, 2-3 roomy living spaces, a great kitchen and dining area, and barely a walk to the grocery store and small public laundry station. Our group of 8 only stayed 2 nights, but wish we stayed longer! Plus it's only a 15 minute drive to the Portmagee marina and Skellig Michael tours. We'll be sure to come visit again at the Skellig house!
My first thought on the drive into the mountains and narrow roads, past all of the sheep farms was, "What have we gotten ourselves into?" It seemed so far from a grocery store or a pub. By the time we checked out I knew I would miss this magical place. The home is large and cozy. Sheep grazed just outside the bay windows. We walked the surrounding hills, talked with sheep farmers, and were awestruck by the quiet and the stars. A wonderful town was all of 13 minutes away, with lovely coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and grocers. There were five of us and all agreed that it was wonderful to return back to our mountain hideaway after a day of touring.
Stayed at the property with my family for Easter weekend. Everything was smooth from start to finish, Lisa is fast to respond. A little welcome pack was on the kitchen table when we arrived and she dropped off Easter eggs for the children. House is new, clean and modern, all towels laid out too. House is in a small housing estate, very close to Cahersiveen. Would recommend without hesitation.
